Transport for London (TfL) have announced:
‘From Saturday 2 December 2017 we are reducing the frequency of bus route W12, which runs between Walthamstow, Coppermill Lane and Wanstead.
This is to improve reliability and to more closely match the demand for buses.
Buses will now run every 30 minutes on Monday to Saturday daytimes (previously every 20 minutes).
There is no change in frequency at other times. ‘
Apparently TfL do not normally formally consult the public on frequency changes and so this news came without warning. It is causing major concern in this area as it is the only bus service connecting South Woodford to Whipps Cross Hospital.
We will be protesting to TfL when they meet the Council’s External Scrutiny Committee in January.Leave a comment
